On Monday, April 7th, the Year 6 House Captains visited the Physical Education class of the Year 1 students with the aim of introducing themselves, sharing more about the inspiring women who represent each house (Keller, Cavell, Fry, and Nightingale), and enjoying a special moment together through play.
The Year 6 students designed a variety of team-based activities in which each group had to work collaboratively to achieve a common goal. These games encouraged patience, cooperation, active listening, and respect for each member’s contributions and timing.
Sorrounded by laughter, excitement, and lots of energy, the younger students showed great willingness to work as a team and were thrilled to share the activity with their captains, whom they listened to with both attention and admiration.
This initiative, promoted together with the physical education department, is part of the Personal and Social Development Programme, aligned with the theme “Being with Others in Community”, which fosters meaningful experiences of connection, belonging, and collective work among different groups within the school.
