Y6 EXHIBITION ACTIONS & SOCIAL IMPACT

One of the purposes of the Y6 Exhibition process is for our students to conduct a deep and meaningful inquiry that enables them to make decisions and take actions that impact the environment they inhabit. 

In this regard, we are delighted and proud to share that one of the groups, focusing on Social Awareness, undertook a donation campaign for the organisation “Manos de la Cava,” whose goal is to support communities in vulnerable situations. This week, our students, along with some families and their mentor, went to deliver the donations. They were welcomed by children attending educational support, who joyfully showed them the place where they learn.

Meanwhile, the groups working on Technology organised and carried out a campaign to donate unused electronic devices. These devices were given to the “Fundación Equidad,” which refurbishes them and provides them to communities lacking such resources. Yesterday, they also handed over the donations with great enthusiasm.

We congratulate our students for their commitment to the common good, their empathy, and their management skills. We are thankful to their mentors and the community for their support and collaboration. It brings us great joy to know that this experience allows our Y6 students to continue growing in the values of Friendship & Service.

Uno de los propósitos del proceso de Exhibition de Y6 es que nuestros alumnos puedan realizar una indagación profunda y significativa, que les permita tomar decisiones y llevar adelante acciones que impacten en el entorno que ellos habitan. 

En este sentido, con mucha alegría y orgullo compartimos que uno de los grupos, que trabajó en Social Awareness, realizó como acción una campaña de donación para la organización “Manos de la Cava”, cuyo objetivo es acompañar a comunidades en situaciones vulnerables. Esta semana, los niños fueron junto a algunas familias y a su mentora a llevar las donaciones. Los recibieron niños que asisten al apoyo escolar, que con mucha alegría les mostraron el lugar en el que aprenden en su apoyo escolar.

Por su parte, los grupos que trabajaron en Tecnología, organizaron y llevaron adelante una campaña de donación de dispositivos electrónicos en desuso, que donaron a la “Fundación Equidad”, que se encarga de reacondicionarlos y acercarlos a comunidades que no disponen de los mismos, acortando la brecha digital. Ayer también entregaron las donaciones, con mucho entusiasmo.

Felicitamos a nuestros alumnos por su compromiso con el bien común, su empatía y su capacidad de gestión. Agradecemos a sus mentores y a la comunidad por su apoyo y colaboración. Nos llena de alegría saber que esta experiencia permite que nuestros alumnos del último año de Primaria continúen creciendo en los valores de Friendship & Service.
