Y5 - A magical adventure

As part of our Book Fair, this Tuesday the Y5 students welcomed Dolores Avendaño, an Old Northlander and a renowned illustrator of books. During the talk, Dolores shared the challenges she faced in fulfilling her dream of becoming an illustrator, and the importance of pursuing our dreams. From her early days as a girl passionate about illustrations, to her studies in the USA, and eventually to becoming the illustrator of millions of copies of the Harry Potter saga in its Spanish versions, Dolores shared important moments of her career with us. Additionally, she amazed us with her achievements as a marathon runner, completing different circuits, including the Sahara Desert, Nepal, and the Himalayas.

En el marco de nuestra Feria del Libro, este martes los alumnos de Y5 recibieron a Dolores Avendaño, Old Northlander y reconocida ilustradora de libros. Durante la charla, Dolores contó los desafíos que afrontó para cumplir su sueño de convertirse en ilustradora, y la importancia de seguir nuestros sueños. Desde sus inicios como una niña con pasión por las ilustraciones, a sus estudios EE UU y hasta convertirse en la ilustradora de millones de copias de la saga de Harry Potter en sus versiones en español, Dolores nos compartió importantes momentos de su carrera. Asimismo, nos maravilló con sus logros como maratonista, recorriendo diferentes circuitos, entre los cuales se encuentran el Desierto de Sahara, Nepal y el Himalaya.
