Y3 visited the “Concejo Deliberante de Tigre” and “Museo de Arte”
As part of the UOI Institutions and the line of inquiry “The social and political organisation of our community,” the Y3 students visited the Honorable City Council of Tigre to learn more about how the representatives of the legislative power in our municipality work. They had the opportunity to speak with council members and the council president, ask them questions about their important work, and even simulate a session where they took on different roles and presented a project to improve life in our city. They were able to demonstrate their understanding of complex concepts such as democracy, republic and organisation. Additionally, they participated in a guided tour of the Tigre Art Museum, where they enjoyed its architecture and collection of modern Argentine art. It was a wonderful experience that combined learning more about local authorities with exploring cultural sites in the municipality.
En el marco de la UOI Instituciones, y como parte de la línea de indagación “La organización social y política de nuestra comunidad”, los alumnos de Y3 visitaron el Honorable Concejo Deliberante de Tigre para conocer más acerca de cómo trabajan los representantes del poder legislativo de nuestro municipio. Tuvieron la oportunidad de conversar con concejales y el presidente del concejo, hacerles preguntas acerca de su importante labor y hasta simular una sesión donde tomaron diferentes roles y presentaron un proyecto para mejorar la vida en nuestra ciudad. Pudieron demostrar la comprensión de conceptos complejos como democracia, república u organización. También, participaron de una visita guiada al Museo de Arte Tigre y disfrutaron de su arquitectura y colección de arte moderno argentino. Fue una experiencia maravillosa que combinó aprender más sobre las autoridades locales y sitios culturales del municipio.
