Y2 Day of Respect for Cultural Diversity
What is diversity? It is very enriching to ask students this question and try to find the answer with them. Identity, differences, respect, ideas, tastes, cultures… a lot of things come to their minds. This Tuesday, Y2 students presented their Commemoration to Day of Respect for Cultural Diversity. On this occasion, our students inquired about diversity and its profound meaning. They talked about the importance of differences, imagining how difficult it must have been 532 years ago when Christopher Columbus arrived in America. They also prepared some rap songs to tell us all about diversity and Colombus’s trips. Finally, they sang and danced a “Carnavalito”, before sharing a beautiful final song. We are very proud of our Y2 students! We would like to thank our wonderful Y2 team, especially Claudia Peirano and Graciela Schnabel, who prepared our students and supported them throughout the rehearsals.
¿Qué es la diversidad? Es muy enriquecedor hacerles esta pregunta a los estudiantes e intentar encontrar la respuesta con ellos. Identidad, diferencias, respeto, ideas, gustos, culturas… muchas cosas vienen a la mente. Este martes, los estudiantes de 2º año presentaron su Conmemoración del Día del Respeto a la Diversidad Cultural. En esta ocasión, nuestros estudiantes investigaron sobre la diversidad y su profundo significado. Hablaron sobre la importancia de las diferencias, imaginando lo difícil que debió haber sido hace 532 años, cuando Cristóbal Colón llegó a América. También prepararon algunas canciones de rap para contarnos todo sobre la diversidad y los viajes de Colón. Finalmente, cantaron y bailaron un “Carnavalito”, antes de compartir una hermosa canción final. ¡Estamos muy orgullosos de nuestros estudiantes de 2º año! Nos gustaría agradecer a nuestro maravilloso equipo de 2º año, especialmente a Claudia Peirano y Graciela Schnabel, quienes prepararon a nuestros estudiantes y los apoyaron durante los ensayos.
