Y1 Meet & Reflect

On Thursday, November 16th, we welcomed the families of Year 1 for our Meet and Reflect. This gathering was a lovely way to close the year together and appreciate the journey we have undertaken. We highlighted the characteristics that make the group so special, as well as the achievements that the students have accomplished.

Afterwards, we shared a playful moment of collaborative work between parents and children. The objective was to build a tall tower that had to stand on its own using only two materials: newspaper and tape. The activity aimed to emphasise the importance of family playtime and to continue building the sense of community that we aim for at Northlands.

El jueves 16/11 recibimos a las familias de Año 1 para nuestro Meet and Reflect. Este  encuentro fue una linda manera de cerrar el año juntos y valorar el camino recorrido. Se destacaron aquellas características que hacen al grupo tan especial, así como también los logros que los alumnos han alcanzado.

Luego compartimos un momento lúdico de trabajo colaborativo entre padres e hijos donde la consigna fue construir una torre alta que debía mantenerse parada por si misma utilizando solo dos materiales: papel de diario y cinta. La actividad tenía como objetivo valorar la importancia del juego en familia y seguir construyendo el sentido de comunidad que tenemos como objetivo en Northlands.
