In the PYP exhibition, students demonstrate their understanding of an issue or opportunity they have chosen to explore.

This year, groups inquired into HOW WE EXPRESS OURSELVES: … into the ways in which we discover and express ideas, feelings, nature, culture, beliefs and values; the ways in which we reflect on, extend and enjoy our creativity; they inquired into our appreciation of the aesthetic.

We shared a central idea with them: “Agentic students have the power to express their voice to make a better world”, and each group decided on their lines of inquiry.

Y6 students were able to plan and organise their learning; drive the inquiry process through their questions; document learning and reflections; self and peer assess their work; and they were able to take action or to plan their next steps to become agents of change.

Durante la Exposición PEP, los alumnos demuestran su comprensión sobre alguna cuestión u oportunidad que eligen explorar.

Este año, los grupos indagaron sobre CÓMO NOS EXPRESAMOS:…sobre los modos en que descubrimos y expresamos nuestra naturaleza, nuestras ideas, sentimientos, cultura, convicciones y valores; los modos en que reflexionamos sobre nuestra creatividad, la ampliamos y la disfrutamos; indagaron sobre la forma en que apreciamos el valor estético de las cosas.

Compartimos con ellos la siguiente idea central: “Los alumnos con agencia tienen el poder de expresar su voz para hacer un mundo mejor”, y cada grupo decidió sobre sus líneas de indagación.

Los alumnos de Año 6 fueron capaces de planificar y organizar su aprendizaje; conducir el proceso de indagación a partir de sus preguntas; documentar sus logros y reflexiones; evaluar el trabajo de otros y autoevaluarse; y pudieron llevar adelante la acción o planificar sus próximos pasos para convertirse en agentes de cambio.

NORDELTA

Since K2, our Year 6 students have been working on the IB Primary Years Programme, actively inquiring into the 6 transdisciplinary themes, whilst building concepts and skills, learning content and developing attitudes and the attributes of the IB Learner Profile.

The IB requires that by the end of the programme, the students choose a transdisciplinary theme of their interest, engage in a collaborative, transdisciplinary inquiry process that involves them in identifying, investigating and offering solutions to real-life issues or problems.

They have to build a central idea and the lines of inquiry as well as get involved in action and give TRUE evidence of agency. As a closure to this enriching process, the children present their findings and conclusions in their Exhibition.

This year the children have chosen to delve into the theme, “Sharing the planet”.

The Central Idea is: “Being aware and respectful of our rights contributes to a harmonious coexistence between human beings and the environment.”

The lines of Inquiry are:

-Environmental problems and sustainable solutions

-Conflict resolution.

-People’s rights and basic needs.

At the end of the presentation, we invite you to explore the website they have designed to assemble all the information they have gathered and where you will be able to follow their steps in the process towards this interesting presentation. We hope you enjoy it!

Desde K2, nuestros alumnos de Year 6 han estado trabajando en el Programa de la Escuela Primaria del IB, indagando activamente en los 6 temas transdisciplinarios, mientras desarrollan conceptos y habilidades, aprenden contenido y desarrollan actitudes y los atributos del perfil de aprendizaje del IB.

El IB exije que, al final del programa, los alumnos elijan un tema transdisciplinario de su interés, participen en un proceso de indagación transdisciplinario y colaborativo que los involucre en la identificación, la investigación y la oferta de soluciones a cuestiones o problemas de la vida real.

Tienen que construir una idea central y las líneas de investigación, así como involucrarse en la acción y dar evidencia VERDADERA de agencia. Como cierre a este enriquecedor proceso, los alumnos presentan sus hallazgos y conclusiones en su Exposición.

Este año los alumnos han optado por profundizar en el tema “Compartiendo el planeta”.

La Idea Central es: “Ser conscientes y respetuosos de nuestros derechos contribuye a una convivencia armónica entre los seres humanos y el medio ambiente”.

Las líneas de consulta son:

-Problemas ambientales y soluciones sostenibles

-La resolución de conflictos.

-Derechos de las personas y necesidades básicas.
