Paso a la Inmortalidad del José de San Martín
During the month of May, the Y5 students went on an educational trip where they visited various significant places related to the history of General José de San Martín. Now, it was time to put everything they had learned into action. This year, Year 5 was responsible for the assembly commemorating the Immortality of General José de San Martín and it resulted in a highly creative presentation about his life, achievements and the values he represents. “What does it mean to be free?” our students asked, inviting us to reflect on the importance of finding balance between our responsibilities and the things we enjoy doing. They also mentioned the need to take care of ourselves and not expose ourselves too much to screens, encouraging relationships and connections with others. Finally, they highlighted the importance of trying to free ourselves from our fears of not fitting in, and remembering that we are all special and unique. How wise our students are!
We would like to take this opportunity to remember our dear Andrea Tombolato, who, as many know, was a great fan of National Commemorations. Without a doubt, this period of preparation has been very emotional for all of us. In these days where her absence was felt, we remembered her fondly throughout the entire process, and we honour her today as well. Lastly, we want to thank and embrace the entire Y5 team: Florencia, Helen, Melisa, Celeste and Mabel. What you shared today was “sublime!”
Durante el mes de mayo, los alumnos de Y5 tuvieron una salida educativa donde recorrieron distintos lugares representativos de la historia del General José de San Martín. Ahora, fue el momento de poner en acción todo lo aprendido. Este año, Y5 estuvo a cargo del Acto por el Paso a la Inmortalidad del General José de San Martín, y el mismo resultó en una presentación muy creativa sobre su persona, sus logros y los valores que representa. ¿Qué significa ser libres?, se preguntaron nuestros alumnos, invitándonos a reflexionar sobre la importancia de encontrar el equilibrio entre nuestras responsabilidades y las cosas que nos gusta hacer. Mencionaron también la necesidad de cuidarnos y no exponernos tanto a los dispositivos, fomentando las relaciones y los vínculos con los demás. Por último, pusieron en valor el intentar librarnos de nuestros miedos a no encajar, y recordar que todos somos especiales y únicos. ¡Qué sabias palabras las de nuestros alumnos!
Quisiéramos aprovechar esta publicación para recordar a nuestra queridísima Andrea Tombolato, quien, como muchos saben, era una fanática de los actos escolares. Sin dudas, este tiempo de preparación ha sido muy movilizante para todos nosotros. En días donde se hizo presente la ausencia, la recordamos con mucho cariño durante todo el proceso, y la honramos hoy también. Por último, agradecer y abrazar a todo el equipo de Y5: Florencia, Helen, Melisa, Celeste y Mabel. Lo que compartieron hoy fue “¡sublime!”.
