Michael Ham Junior Tournament
Our first game was against Buen Ayre School, where nerves played a major role in the match. We managed to score all the runs allowed in the game, but defensive errors cost us dearly. The match ended in a tie, but due to an out in our favor, we ultimately won. Paloma stood out playing a position that wasn’t hers, putting the team ahead.
The second game was against MHam Nordelta, where nerves had passed and the desire to win was palpable. There were excellent hits and aggressive baserunning. In the field, we were able to resolve several plays on the bases. However, they were decisive in crucial moments, narrowly winning the game 9-8.
The team’s concentration and effort were commendable.
The last game was the ticket to the final, against MHam vl 2, who fielded a strong team. We had moments of great hitting and plays, but one mistake led to the game favoring MHam. The score ended 7-9 in favor of MHam vl 2.
I want to highlight all the players, who numbered 8. They gave their best at all times, were supportive teammates and empathetic towards the younger ones. There was a climate of peer learning, enjoyment and joy throughout!

Nuestro primer partido fue contra el colegio Buen Ayre, en dónde los nervios fueron protagonistas del encuentro. Logramos realizar todas las carreras que nos permitía el encuentro pero en defensa los errores nos costaron caro. El encuentro quedó empatado, pero por out a favor terminamos ganando. Destacó a Paloma que jugó de una posición que no era la de ella, poniendo al equipo por delante.
El segundo encuentro fue contra MHam Nordelta, en dónde los nervios ya habían pasado y las ganas de ganar estaban a flor de piel. Se vieron muy bueno hits y carreras de bases agresivas. En el campo pudimos resolver varias jugadas en bases. Pero ellas fueron contundentes en el momento clave, llevándose el partido por la mínima 9 a 8.
Destacó la concentración y esfuerzo de todo el equipo.
El último encuentro era el pase a la final, jugábamos contra MHam vl 2, quienes presentaron un equipo fuerte. Tuvimos momentos de muy buenos batazos y jugadas, pero un error hizo que el partido quedara a favor de MHam. El score fue 7 a 9 a favor de MHam vl 2.
Quiero destacar a todas las jugadoras, ya éramos 8. En todo momento dieron lo mejor, fueron compañeras y empáticas con las más chicas. Se vivió un clima de aprendizaje entre pares, disfrute y alegría!
