International Day Against Bullying

Within the framework of the International Day Against Bullying, Secondary School worked on different initiatives to reflect upon the matter.  

Y7 and Y8 carried out an activity to raise awareness about this topic. We worked on the importance of identifying different bullying situations and how to prevent them. Using videos as triggers, we inquired, through conversation in small groups, about the difference between bullying, conflict and exclusion, their consequences and how they can affect both themselves  and their peers. Students also shared if they had ever experienced a situation in which they hadn’t felt comfortable and how they sought to solve it. They ended the activity with an informative video or poster to show the awareness this special day intends to raise. This activity is one among many others, such as the workshop for students and families led by María Syzman.

All year groups had a day to reflect on our Secondary Community Code; the students were divided in groups to discuss a number of disciplinary situations, classify them according to their levels of complexity and share how they would intervene according to the school disciplinary measures. The activity closed with a survey which provided valuable feedback on how our students perceive the system with the aim to continue building awareness together. 

Dentro del marco del Día Mundial contra el Acoso Escolar, Secundaria Olivos trabajó en diferentes iniciativas para reflexionar sobre la temática.

Y7 y Y8 realizaron una actividad para concientizar sobre este tema. Trabajamos en la importancia de identificar diferentes situaciones de acoso escolar y cómo evitarlas. Utilizando una serie de videos como disparadores, indagamos, a través de la conversación en pequeños grupos, en la diferencia entre bullying, conflicto y exclusión, sus consecuencias y cómo puede afectar a cada uno como a sus pares. Además compartieron si alguna vez habían vivido alguna situación en la que no se habían sentido cómodos y cómo buscaron resolverlo. Para finalizar, cada grupo realizó un video o un póster informativo o demostrativo para comunicar lo que este día especial busca concientizar. Esta actividad viene acompañada por otras intervenciones, como el taller de familias y estudiantes con Maria Zysman. 

Todos los años (Y7 a Y12) participaron de una Jornada de Reflexión del Acuerdo Institucional de Convivencia de la Secundaria. Los estudiantes, divididos en grupos, conversaron sobre una serie de situaciones disciplinarias que se les presentaron, las clasificaron según sus grados de complejidad y compartieron qué intervenciones propondrían realizar, teniendo en cuenta las medidas de sanciones del colegio. Dicha actividad finalizó con una encuesta, que permite tener un feedback muy valioso de los alumnos sobre cómo perciben ellos el sistema de sanciones y de esa manera seguir concientizando conjuntamente.
