At Northlands, Early Childhood (ages 1 to 5) is much more than just the first step in a child’s education; it is the beginning of a transformative experience that fosters learning, curiosity, and the development of emotional, social and physical skills.
In this enriching bilingual environment, every child finds a space to explore their unique potential and acquire the tools necessary to grow and develop fully.
Growing with curiosity, values and purpose from a very early age at Northlands.

Integral Education from the First Years
We know that the early years of life are fundamental for brain, physical, and emotional development. That is why our program is based on the Primary Years Programme (PYP) of the International Baccalaureate (IB). This interdisciplinary approach encourages children to learn through inquiry and play, developing cognitive, socio-emotional, and communicative skills from an early age. Children learn to understand create, and express their ideas in both English and Spanish naturally, broadening their cultural and linguistic horizons from the very beginning of their schooling.
Exploration, Values and Active Play
Kindergarten education is designed to inspire a love for learning and holistic development through:
-
Socialisation and Values: We foster respect, empathy and solidarity, helping children to establish healthy relationships and create guidelines for coexistence.
-
Juego e Indagación: Play and Inquiry: Active play is at the heart of learning at this stage, integrating key areas such as mathematics, language, science and the arts.
-
Natural Bilingualism: Children experience the English language on a daily and constant basis through their teachers and daily activities, promoting a natural and gradual understanding of the language.
-
Creative Development: Music, theatre, literature and visual arts stimulate their imagination, encouraging them to explore and express their creativity.
