Friendship Day Y1
On Thursday, September 26, our Year 1 students participated in their very first Friendship Day, an event that is part of our Personal and Social Development Program centered on the theme “Being with Others in Community.” The goal of this day was to encourage self-discovery, build connections with others, and promote teamwork through shared experiences, helping students strengthen their bonds of friendship.
The morning was lively with dancing, team games, and a delicious snack shared by all. Later, the students gathered in small groups to reflect on the meaning of friendship and discuss the qualities of a good friend, using questions they had previously worked on.
In the afternoon, we had a special guest, Laura from the Art Department, who led a collaborative activity where students worked in pairs—one from Year 1A and the other from Year 1B. During break time, the students were surprised with a visit from their Big Brothers and Big Sisters, filling the auditorium with laughter and games.
To close the day, each student decorated a heart and gifted it to an assigned classmate, writing a special quality they appreciated about that person on the back.
It was a joyful celebration of friendship, which the students thoroughly enjoyed, alongside their classmates, teachers, the learning support specialist and the LSU coordinator
El jueves 26 de septiembre nuestros alumnos de Año 1 vivieron su primer Friendship Day. Esta actividad entra dentro del Programa de Desarrollo Personal y Social, enfocado en el eje “Ser con otros en Comunidad”. Estos eventos tienen por objetivo fomentar el encuentro consigo mismo y con los demás, así como también promover el trabajo en equipo en un día dedicado a la convivencia. Esto permite que los alumnos se conozcan más a fondo y fortalezcan sus lazos de amistad.
La mañana transcurrió entre bailes, juegos en equipo y un riquísimo snack compartido. Luego, en pequeños grupos los chicos reflexionaron sobre la amistad y escribieron juntos las características de un buen compañero. Para esta actividad tomaron como punto de partida las preguntas que habían completado previamente en sus casas.
Por la tarde, nos visitó Laura de Arte quien dirigió una lindísima actividad para cual trabajaron en parejas, un alumno de Año 1A y otro de 1B. Durante el recreo los alumnos recibieron la visita sorpresa de sus Big Brothers y Big Sisters y el auditorio se llenó de risas y juegos. Para cerrar el día, cada alumno recibió un corazón que tenía que decorar y luego regalárselo a un compañero/a que le había sido asignado. En el dorso tenían que escribir alguna característica que valoraran de él o de ella.
Fue un día de fiesta y de celebrar la amistad que los alumnos disfrutaron mucho junto a sus compañeros, docentes, la psicopedagoga que sigue al grupo y la coordinadora de LSU.
