Día del Respeto por la Diversidad Cultural

At Northlands on the Day of Respect for Cultural Diversity we reinforce the importance of knowing how to accept and respect differences. There are many things that differentiate us and there are many things that unite us. Getting to know other people and their reality helps us understand each other better and achieve harmonious coexistence.
To celebrate this day, in Primary, we hosted the NGO Arte y Esperanza. Thanks to this NGO, the Year 3 and Year 5 students were able to enjoy a talk led by the Wichi leader, Mauro Vaca, who told them about his traditions and showed them his crafts.
On the other hand, on Tuesday October 17th and Wednesday October 18th, Arte y Esperanza brought their craft fair to school and students and their families were able to learn about their traditions and buy crafts from different ethnicities.
“Differences enrich us, respect unites us”
En Northlands en el Día del Respeto por la Diversidad Cultural reforzamos la importancia de saber aceptar y respetar las diferencias. Son muchas las cosas que nos diferencian y son muchas las cosas que nos unen. Abrirnos a conocer al otro y conocer su realidad nos ayuda a entendernos mejor y lograr una convivencia en armonía.
Para celebrar este día este año en Primaria recibimos a la ONG Arte y Esperanza. Gracias a esta ONG los alumnos de Año 3 y Año 5 pudieron disfrutar una charla con el líder Wichi, Mauro Vaca, quién les contó acerca de sus tradiciones y les mostró sus artesanías.
Por otro lado, el martes 17 y miércoles 18 de octubre Arte y Esperanza trajo al colegio su feria de artesanías y los alumnos y sus familias pudieron conocer sus tradiciones y comprar artesanías de distintas etnias.
