Children’s Day – Nordelta & Olivos Primary
On Friday, August 23rd, we celebrated Children’s Day at school. This time, we invited families to help organise and participate in the games. The event was a huge success and the children had a fantastic time. We would like to take this opportunity to thank each of the families involved for their dedication, creativity, generosity and the joy they brought to a very special day that we all enjoyed as a community.
El viernes 23 de agosto celebramos el Día del Niño en el colegio. En esta ocasión convocamos a las familias a participar en la organización y participación de los juegos. La kermesse fue un éxito y los chicos disfrutaron muchísimo. Queremos aprovechar para agradecerles a cada una de las familias involucradas la entrega, la creatividad, la generosidad y la alegría desplegados en un día muy especial que disfrutamos mucho como comunidad.
Last Friday, Olivos Primary celebrated Children’s Day! This occasion, we had the privilege to welcome “The Jivers Quartet”, a Jazz band that delighted us with María Elena Walsh songs. The BH was packed with an enthusiastic crowd that sang along and enjoyed the show. We were delighted to share this experience with K5 students, who were also very happy to be a part of the celebration.
During the afternoon, it was time to play! With the help of our teachers, students came to the courtyard where they had different games to play. A giant bowling, siameses shirts, Jenga, and more, were part of a marvellous diversity of games. It was such a joyful afternoon, in which we embraced the essence of childhood: play.
El viernes pasado, en Olivos Primaria celebramos el Día del Niño. En esta ocasión, tuvimos el privilegio de recibir a “The Jivers Quartet”, una banda de jazz que nos deleitó con canciones de María Elena Walsh. El Brightman Hall estuvo lleno de una audiencia entusiasta que cantó y disfrutó del espectáculo. Nos encantó compartir esta experiencia con los alumnos de K5, quienes también estaban muy contentos de formar parte de la celebración.
Durante la tarde, ¡llegó el momento de jugar! Con la ayuda de nuestros maestros, los alumnos se dirigieron al patio, donde tuvieron diferentes juegos para disfrutar. Un bowling gigante, camisetas siamesas, Jenga y más, formaron parte de una maravillosa diversidad de juegos. Fue una tarde muy alegre, en la que abrazamos la esencia de la infancia: el juego.
