BIG BROTHERS AND SISTERS - Y8 & Y3 SHARED ACTIVITY

On Tuesday, November 14th, Y8 students got together with their little brothers and sisters from Y3.

They started the afternoon with the crafting of bookmarks, writing the phrase, “Big Brothers and Big Sisters help us on learning and growing with smiles, wisdom, and a sprinkle of fun in every lesson.” Students poured their creativity into these tangible tokens of friendship, knowing that their Year 3 counterparts would cherish them as keepsakes.

Following the crafting session, they went to the playground, where small groups formed for a series of engaging games such as Four Squares, Tag, La Brujita de los Colores, and Coronita es.

It was more than just an afternoon of activities; it was a celebration of learning, growth, and the enduring power of supportive relationships. Both groups had lots of fun together!

El martes 14 de noviembre, los alumnos de Y8 se encontraron con sus Little Brothers y Little Sisters de Y3. Comenzaron la tarde con la creación de señaladores, en los cuales habían escrito la frase: “Big Brothers y Big Sisters nos ayudan a aprender y crecer con sonrisas, sabiduría y un toque de diversión en cada lección”. Los estudiantes volcaron su creatividad en estos tangibles símbolos de amistad, sabiendo que sus compañeros de Y3 los atesorarían como recuerdos.

Después de realizar esta manualidad, se dirigieron al patio, donde se formaron pequeños grupos para una serie de juegos entretenidos como Cuatro Esquinas, La Tuta, La Brujita de los Colores y Coronita es.

Fue más que una tarde de actividades; fue una celebración del aprendizaje, el crecimiento y el  poder duradero de las relaciones entre pares. ¡Ambos grupos se divirtieron mucho juntos!
