Creating your own Avatar
During this last month, Y4 students combined design, technology and creativity to produce an avatar. In the first place, they drew the model figure on paper. Then, they transferred their prototype to Tinkercad, an app for 3D design and coding. Once it was ready, they built a real-life version of the avatar in the Maker Space using recycled materials. Finally, they made the avatar speak using Chatter-pix, an animation technology and some designs were 3d printed. It was an amazing experience for the students who could express themselves by creating an iconic version of themselves through technology and crafts. Way to go, Y4!
Creando tu propio avatar
Durante este último mes, los alumnos de Y4 combinaron diseño, tecnología y creatividad para producir un avatar. En primer lugar, dibujaron la figura modelo en papel. Luego, transfirieron su prototipo a Tinkercad, una aplicación para diseño y codificación 3D. Una vez que estuvo listo, construyeron una versión real del avatar en el Makerspace, utilizando materiales reciclados. Finalmente, hicieron hablar al avatar usando Chatter-pix, una app de tecnología de animación y algunos de ellos fueron fabricados con la impresora 3D. Fue una experiencia increíble para los alumnos que pudieron expresarse creando una versión icónica de sí mismos que combinó tecnología y construcción. ¡Así se hace, Y4!
