Year 6 students wrap up their Wonka project with creativity and reflection
After weeks of dedication and teamwork, our Year 6 students proudly presented their version of Wonka. As part of the project’s wrap-up, they engaged in meaningful activities that captured the essence of their artistic journey.
Following the technical rehearsal, the students participated in a guided visualization exercise, imagining what it would be like to walk through the magical chocolate factory. Inspired by this, they painted the candy trees together, using their hands to create a unique piece that became part of the set.
In addition, each student completed a Reflection and Appreciation Journal, where they reflected on their learning and the value of this shared experience. To top it off, they all signed a Wonka poster, now laminated and displayed in the Drama room as a lasting memory of this wonderful creative journey.
Después de semanas de esfuerzo y trabajo en equipo, los alumnos de Y6 presentaron su musical “Wonka” con gran éxito. Como parte del cierre del proyecto, realizaron actividades significativas que capturaron la esencia de su proceso artístico.
Tras el ensayo técnico, los alumnos participaron en un ejercicio de visualización guiada, imaginando cómo sería caminar por la mágica fábrica de chocolate. Inspirados por esa experiencia, pintaron juntos los árboles de caramelos, usando sus propias manos para crear una pieza única que formó parte de la escenografía.
Además, cada alumno completó un “Reflection and Appreciation Journal”, donde reflexionaron sobre su aprendizaje y el valor de la experiencia compartida. Como broche de oro, firmaron un póster de Wonka, que ahora está plastificado y colgado en la sala de Drama, como un recuerdo de este maravilloso viaje creativo.
