2 May - International Day Against Bullying

On May 2nd we celebrate International Day Against Bullying. On this occasion we had an Assembly to raise awareness about this topic and we listened to the song “Se buscan valientes” by Langui. Since that moment we launched the campaign with the same name: “Northlands seeks brave people”. We invited the students to write on a mural the reasons why they think we need brave people in relation to bullying. Students’ writings showed great  awareness of others and empathy. All these attitudes go hand in hand with the “Friendship and Service” spirit we foster at Northlands. Now is the time to be brave and put all of these actions into practice in our daily lives!

“THE STRENGTH OF A BRAVE PERSON IS IN HIS HEART”

El 2 de mayo se conmemora el Día Mundial contra el Bullying/ Acoso escolar. En esta ocasión tuvimos un Assembly para concientizar sobre este tema y escuchamos la canción “Se buscan valientes” de Langui. A partir de ese momento lanzamos la campaña con el mismo nombre: “Northlands busca valientes”. Con esta idea invitamos a los alumnos a escribir en un mural las razones por las que consideran importante encontrar personas valientes en relación a la lucha contra el bullying. Las reflexiones de los alumnos demostraron una gran capacidad de empatía y conciencia del otro. Estas actitudes que ellos pudieron describir van de la mano del espíritu de Friendship and Service que promueve Northlands. ¡Ahora es momento de ser valientes y poner en práctica cada una de estas acciones en nuestra vida diaria!
