Maths Olympiad Cordoba
The Ñandu and OMA National Mathematics Olympiads took place in Córdoba from October 25 until 28th and from November 7 to 11th respectively and we had the privilege to participate with 4 students from our Nordelta site and 3 from the Olivos site: Delfina Restelli (ND Y8), Agustina Restelli (ND Y10), Valentino Cattaneo (ND Y11), Bruno Cassara (OL Y8), Micaela Yerusalimski (OL Y8) and Miguel Kehayoglu (OL Y9).
We would like to congratulate them for having reached this stage. Specially Delfina and Miguel in particular, who obtained a distinction for their performance in their exam.
Agustina Restelli (Nordelta):
My experience on the trip to Cordoba for the Math Olympics this November was educational, but also very fun and exciting. The first two days, we took the exams in one of the most ancient hotels of La Falda. We discussed the results during lunch, where we could understand each different approach for the same problem, and played truco with cards. In the afternoon we attended the problem resolution. When it ended we took a walk around the city. One of the best things of the trip is the group that we formed. We did all kinds of activities, like walking along the river, going to the arcade, and playing math games to conclude the trip. The activity that I loved the most was going to the hotel where the exams took place, where we listened to many scary myths and toured the hotel in complete darkness. After this we went to have dinner all together. Therefore, the trip included broad types of activities, those involving maths, and those who did not, that contributed to the bonding of the group, which made the trip so memorable and fun.
Micaela Yerusalimski (Olivos):
I had a really good time in Cordoba. First I thought it was going to be boring, but then I proved myself wrong. I could meet people from other provinces and play truco with them after the exam. Surprisingly the food was very good, especially the vegan food. The problems were a bit difficult but at the end of the day, after the resolution, we could understand how to do them. I also liked “La Odisea” where we could play games and solve puzzles. We learnt a lot and had fun.
Bruno Cassara (Olivos):
The OMA competition is entertaining, but I think this year the national round was particularly fun. I did not take part in the games, but I was told that it was an utter success. I hope I can see them all again next year!
Olimpiadas Matemáticas OMA Córdoba
Del 25 al 28 de octubre y del 7 al 11 de noviembre se llevaron a cabo las Olimpiada Matemática Nacional Ñandú y OMA, respectivamente, en Córdoba y tuvimos el privilegio de participar con 4 de nuestros alumnos de la sede Nordelta y 3 de la sede de Olivos: Delfina Restelli (ND año 8), Agustina Restelli (ND año 10), Valentino Cattaneo (ND año 11), Bruno Cassara (OL año 8), Micaela Yerusalimski (OL año 8) y Miguel Kehayoglu (OL año 9).
Los felicitamos por haber llegado a esta instancia y en especial a Delfina y Miguel por haber obtenido una mención por el desempeño en su examen.
Agustina Restelli (Nordelta):
Mi experiencia del viaje a Córdoba por las Olimpíadas de Matemáticas fue educativa, pero también muy divertida y emocionante. Los primeros dos días rendimos los exámenes en uno de los hoteles más antiguos de La Falda. Conversamos sobre los resultados durante el almuerzo, donde pudimos ver las diferentes formas de resolver un mismo problema y jugamos al truco con las cartas. A la tarde asistimos a la resolución del problema y luego dimos un paseo por la ciudad. Una de las mejores cosas del viaje fue el grupo que armamos. Hicimos todo tipo de actividades, como caminar al costado del río, visitar la arcada, y jugar juegos matemáticos para concluir con el viaje. Lo que más disfruté fue ir al hotel donde rendimos el examen y sobre el que nos contaron muchas historias de miedo mientras nos llevaron a recorrerlo en completa oscuridad. Después fuimos a cenar todos juntos. Todas estas actividades diferentes contribuyeron a reforzar los vínculos del grupo y a hacer del viaje una experiencia divertida y memorable.
Micaela Yerusalimski (Olivos):
La pasé muy bien en Córdoba. Al principio pensé que sería aburrido, pero después me di cuenta de que estaba equivocada. Conocí gente de otras provincias y jugamos al truco después del examen. Sorpresivamente, la comida fue muy buena, en particular, la comida vegana. Los problemas fueron bastante difíciles, pero al final del día, después de la resolución, pudimos entender cómo hacerlos. También me gustó “La Odisea”, donde pudimos jugar y resolver acertijos. Aprendimos mucho y nos divertimos.
Bruno Cassara (Olivos):
“La competencia de la OMA ya de por sí es entretenida pero creo que este año la ronda nacional fue excepcionalmente divertida, no estuve en la parte de los juegos pero me contaron que fue un éxito ¡Espero volver a vernos el año que viene!”
